Faulty Power Switch Yes this is a cheap item I understand but it should at least be constructed well enough to last more than 5 hours. I set it up on my desk and it worked great then the power button got stucklike and will no longer depress. Its a faulty button. If it would work longer and lets say I just got a lemon and most do not have this issue its a great little instant hot water dispenser and it worked fast. It doesn't hold much water 16 oz but its so instant it didn't really matter.
Hot Shot hit spot This was a Christmas gift for my brother. He opened it and ran to the kitchen to try it out. He proclaimed it a hit. Large enough for his big mug and definitely heated up quickly. I'm just disappointed he didn't offer hot cocoa to all of us.
Great Hot Shot!!! This is one of the greatest things ever invented. It is quick and handy. I use it for tea and have purchased it as a gift for others.
Really Useful I've used a Sunbeam Hot Shot for about 20 years and I've owned only two of them. That should tell you something about how long these things last!I'm an avid tea drinker and use this machine about 4 times per day every day for that. I also use it to heat up water for my daughter's instant oatmeal the occasional ramen noodles hot cocoa etc.It's so simple fast neat and useful. It also stays clean on the inside because it's constantly boiling water! Very easy to clean inside and out and at a fair price.
Been using this for years I first found out about this product from a friend in the 1980's. When I saw this in a local store I snapped 4 of them up and gave some to family. That was about 10 years ago. I'm still using that same one and so are they. I've got one I keep as a spare because it's hard to find locally. I'm glad to see Amazon has it. This is the next best thing to sliced bread. You get hot boiling water in <1 minute.
Love this! I love the Sunbeam Hot Shot Beverage Machine! I don't drink coffee but sometimes drink tea or cocoa. This allows me to have a cup of tea in seconds without having to heat a whole kettle of water. I love it! I'm getting a second one for my office at work.
Great value works very fast I bought this to heat water fast to heat up bottles of frozen breastmilk and it works as advertised. The water definitely finishes boiling about 16 oz of water in under 90 seconds.Pros very simple very fast great price takes up little counterspace.Cons short cord a little difficult to drain completely the dispenser button doesn't seem durable enough reservoir could be a bit bigger to hold more water.I've had it for about 4 days now so it's too soon to tell if it will be durable but since the parts seem to be simple there shouldn't be an operational breakdown unless a part breaks. After dispensing what I can I just leave the top open so the rest of the water can evaporate.
Hot Shot is a real HOT SHOT My mother has used a hot shot for so many years and when one does go out and she tries another kind it just isn't good enough. Sunbeam's Hot Shot wasn't easy to find around here but was really a God Send when I checked Amazon. Sunbeam was my next avenue. Love it! It is quicker than the microwave and a whole lot easier.
Good improvement I have been a user of Sunbeam Hot Shot Beverage Machine for many years. I really like the improvement in the placement of the ON heat button and the placement of the DISPENSE button. Having them separated rather than side by side lessens the error of pushing the incorrect one. The Hot Shot heats the water to boiling very quickly. The platform also supports larger mugs.
